(Adult Students / Clients - Age: 18+)

Jurisdiction: England and Wales
1) Definitions
“Company”, “we”, “us”, “our”: Chiswick Education Institute Ltd is a company registered in England, [company number], registered office at [address].

“Student”, “client”, “you”, “your”: an individual aged 18 or over enrolled on a course at the Company.
“Course”: any language programme, lesson, tutoring, assessment, or related service delivered by the Company (in person or online).
“Start Date”: the first scheduled day of your Course.
“Contract”: the agreement formed when the Company confirms your place.
2) Eligibility and admissions
Our adult courses are for students / clients aged 18+ on the Course Start Date.
Admission is subject to availability, meeting any entry requirements (e.g., placement test), and paying required fees by the stated deadlines.
We may refuse admission or terminate enrolment if:
(a) information provided is false or incomplete;
(b) fees are not paid in advance of the Course start date;
(c) conduct breaches our policies.
3) Enrolment, contract formation & cooling-off period
Your Contract is formed when we issue written Booking Confirmation (via email or letter) following your application and payment of any deposit.
Distance contracts (e.g., online enrolments) may include a 7-day cooling-off period from the day of Contract formation, during which you may cancel for a full refund of Course fees paid, less any proportionate amount for services already delivered at your request during that period.
If the Course begins within the 7-day period and you expressly request an immediate start, you acknowledge that your right to cancel will be reduced to the unused portion and may be lost once the Course is completed.
4) Fees, deposits, and payment terms
Fees are listed on our website or in offer letter(s) and are quoted in GBP (£).
Payment is due by the invoice due date. We may charge interest on overdue sums at the statutory rate and/or suspend services until paid.
Deposits (if applicable) are non-transferable and may be non-refundable except where your statutory rights apply or as otherwise stated in the Cancellations and Refunds Policy.
All bank charges must be paid by the student / client as agreed; we must receive the net amount.
5) Changes by you (i. e. deferrals, transfers)
Deferrals requested at least 14 days before the Start Date may be accommodated subject to availability and an administrative charge of 5% of the total course fee.
Course transfers (e.g., to a different timetable or modality) require our approval and may incur fees or a price difference charge.
We do not permit transfers to third parties.
6) Changes by the Company (timetables, modality, teachers)
We may adjust timetables, class sizes, teachers, or delivery mode (in-person/online/hybrid) for operational or academic reasons. We aim to keep changes reasonable and will notify you as soon as practicable.
If we materially change or cancel a Course before the Start Date, you may accept the change, move to a suitable alternative, or receive a full refund of fees paid for the affected Course.
7) Attendance, punctuality and progress
You are expected to attend all classes on time. We may remove students with poor attendance or serious lateness from classes or assessments.
We may move you to a different class based on level and progress. Progression to the next level is not guaranteed and depends on your performance and attendance.
8) Conduct and Academic Integrity
Students and clients must adhere to the following rules:
(a) behave respectfully at all times;
(b) follow staff instructions;
(c) do not harass, discriminate, or bully fellow students / clients or staff;
(d) comply with UK laws and Company policies (health & safety, IT use, academic misconduct).
Academic integrity is mandatory. Plagiarism, using fabricated sources, collusion, or unauthorised AI/translation tools (where prohibited) may lead to academic penalties, suspension, or expulsion with no refund.
9) Health, safety, and insurance
We take reasonable steps to ensure a safe learning environment. You must follow safety instructions, including fire and emergency procedures.
We strongly recommend personal insurance covering health, travel, possessions, tuition interruption, and personal liability. We are not responsible for loss, theft, or damage to personal property on or off campus except where loss, theft or damage to your personal property is caused by our negligence.
10) Accessibility and reasonable adjustments
We are committed to inclusivity and will consider reasonable adjustments for disabilities or long-term health conditions under the Equality Act 2010. Please inform us early and provide supporting evidence so we can plan appropriate adjustments.
11) Data protection and privacy
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
Our Privacy Notice explains what data we collect, legal bases, retention periods, and your rights (including access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection).
We may share data with service providers (e.g., payment processors) under appropriate safeguards and with regulators where legally required.

12) Intellectual property
Course materials (including online content) are protected by copyright. They are for your personal study only and may not be reproduced, shared, or sold without Chiswick Education Institute Ltd prior written permission.
Recording classes is prohibited unless expressly authorised for accessibility or academic purposes only.
13) Technology, online learning, and acceptable use
You are responsible for having suitable hardware, software, and connectivity for online components.
You must not share meeting links, access credentials, or download/distribute restricted materials.
We may monitor access logs to protect systems and academic integrity.
14) Excursions, social activities, and third-party services
Optional activities may be operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms, insurance, and risk assessments. Participation is at your own risk.
Chiswick Education Institute Ltd is not liable for acts or omissions of third-party providers.
15) Visa and immigration compliance (if applicable)
You must comply with UK immigration law. If your immigration status prevents attendance, we may cancel your place with the applicable refund rules in the refund policy.
We may be required to report non-attendance or material changes to authorities as required by the UK law.
16) Complaints and appeals
We aim to resolve issues quickly and fairly. Please raise concerns informally with your teacher or contact us via our Instagram page – Chiswick_Education

If unresolved, submit a written complaint to complaints@Chiswickeducationinstitute.com
within 10 days, stating the issue and desired outcome.
We will acknowledge within 5 working days and aim to respond within 20 working days.

17) Marketing, photography, and testimonials
We may request your consent to use photos, recordings, or testimonials for marketing. Consent is voluntary and can be withdrawn at any time (without affecting prior lawful use).
If you do not consent, please inform us in writing by emailing us at info@chiswickeducationinstitute.com.
18) Liability
Nothing in these T&Cs limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any liability that cannot be excluded under law.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, business losses, or events beyond our reasonable control. Our total liability for any claim related to your Course is limited to the total fees paid for the affected Course.
19) Force majeure
We are not responsible for failure or delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., public health emergencies, extreme weather, strikes, utility outages, transport disruption).
We may deliver classes online or rearrange schedules during such events. Refunds will be assessed reasonably with regard to services delivered or made available.
20) Termination of enrolment on the Course
We may suspend or terminate your enrolment for reasons outlined below:
(a) serious or repeated breach of these T&Cs or policies;
(b) non-payment;
(c) academic misconduct;
(d) visa non-compliance.
On termination, no refund is due except where required by the law.
21) Notices
Formal notices should be sent by email to the addresses on your Booking Confirmation and are deemed received on the next working day after sending (unless an error notice is returned).
22) Governing law and jurisdiction
These T&Cs and any dispute or claim are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law grants you additional rights.
23) Entire agreement and variations
These T&Cs, the Booking Confirmation, and referenced policies constitute the entire agreement between you and the Company.
Chiswick Education Institute Ltd may update these T&Cs to reflect legal, regulatory, or operational changes. The version in force at the time of your Booking Confirmation applies, unless a later version is agreed in writing.
24) Acceptance
By enrolling and paying any fees or deposits, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions and the policies referenced herein.
